Vacancies - non-salaried Inspectors

From time to time, the Planning Inspectorate seeks to procure the services of fee-paid Inspectors, primarily to conduct Section 78 appeals. Those successful in the procurement process are registered as non-salaried Inspectors (NSI) and will then be offered contracts on a case-by-case basis.

The closing date for receipt of applications for our current procurement competition has now passed.   Any future competitions will be advertised on this website and in other appropriate publications.

Should you require any general information about the work of an NSI, please contact the NSI Contract Management Unit either by e-mail:
NSIContractmanagement@pins.gsi.gov.uk, or by telephone: 0117 372 6011.

We regret that we are unable to retain details of anyone who expresses an interest in becoming a non-salaried Inspector.
